Performance & Employee Relations Specialist

About SAHA: Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA) is a nonprofit housing development organization with over 50 years of experience throughout the Bay Area for low income families, seniors, and people with special needs including those experiencing homelessness. We are looking for talented and committed individuals to join our Real Estate Development team in creating exciting new residential communities throughout the Bay Area that achieve the highest standards for design, climate sustainability, and positive community impact.
Position Overview: The Performance & Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for a wide range of duties related to fostering a positive relationship between SAHA and its employees. Duties include leading SAHA’s annual and day to day performance and professional development initiatives, supporting and coaching staff, and responding to workplace issues.

Location: This position works at SAHA’s Main Office in Berkeley.
Compensation: The pay range for this position begins at $65,000 annually. Starting salaries/offers depend on the candidate’s experience, education, ability, and relative comparisons to current staff.

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related field or equivalent experience working in the field of HR.
• Experience and understanding of human resources practices and principles with extensive knowledge of State and Federal employment laws.
• Experience and understanding of coaching methods.
• Experience and/or knowledge of affordable housing industry a plus.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
