ADFA Housing Programs Coordinator

Grade GS07




The Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA) Housing Programs Coordinator is responsible for preparing and filing legal documents, coordinating legal section/office activities, research HOME/NHTF rules and regulations and review and interpret federal or state statutes, rules and regulations. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy. Housing Programs Coordinator will assist all housing departments and report to the Compliance Manager.

Typical Functions:

Prepares drafts of new or amended policies or regulations pertinent to the agency’s mission. Establishes and maintains legal reference files. May serve as lead worker by providing training, establishing work plans, and reviewing work performed to ensure technical accuracy and compliance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

Knowledge of legal terminology. Knowledge of investigative standards, procedures, and techniques. Ability to handle confidential information. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with agency staff and other relevant legal and agency contacts. Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.

Minimum Education and/or Experience

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting or a related field; plus four years of experience in the banking/finance industry. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.


Preferred Qualifications


Knowledge and experience in the areas of underwriting, grant administration and environmental reviews.

Knowledge and experience in real estate development and complex real estate transactions.

Experience with HOME/Housing Trust Fund/CDBG/LIHTC and other Federal Housing Programs preferred.

Knowledge and experience of compliance regulations as they pertain to Federal Housing Programs.
