JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the asset and supervising on-site staff at assigned communities to ensure consistent application of policies, adherence to budget and occupancy goals, and procedures, and ensure quality living accommodations. Responsible for the training and development of all staff assigned, either directly or through others. Implementation and quality control of all regulations, policies and procedures relating to compliance and community operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Course work in real estate preferred. Minimum five years successful experience in residential property management supervising on-site management staff on scattered sites is preferred. Affordable housing and program compliance experience required. Ability to obtain Specialist in Housing Credit Management or similar accreditation required. Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation or equivalent strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word & Excel, and email applications required. Proficiency in Yardi preferred. Must work well under pressure, exercise good judgment when making decisions, and handle stressful situations in a mature, professional manner. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, professionalism and demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work assignments and attention to detail. Must communicate effectively with all stakeholders. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Travel to sites is required and other limited travel as necessary, which may include overnight travel. Real estate license may be required. At any given time must be able to describe the overall makeup: strengths, weaknesses, and needs of each community in their assigned portfolio. Provides oversight in the following areas to the communities within their designated portfolio. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
