Job Description

Community Development and Housing Agency is recruiting for a Community Development and Housing Project Manager I & Community Development and Housing Project Manager II – Contract. The Community Development and Housing Project Manager I will manage large scope projects involving the rehabilitation or new construction of multi-family residential housing projects. The Contract Community Development and Housing Project Manager II will identify potential qualifying projects and development partners, as well as managing the project from inception to completion.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Community Development and Housing Project Manager I

EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree (or higher) in Public or Business Administration, Planning, Economic Development, Project Management, or a closely related field.

–AND–

Experience: One (1) year of professional experience working for a public or private agency with a primary focus on affordable housing, with an emphasis in one of the following areas: site research and acquisition; feasibility analysis; pre-development, design, and construction; OR preparing and presenting labor compliance requirements related to the applicability of state/federal prevailing wage laws. Experience must be clearly detailed on the application.

SUBSTITUTION: One (1) additional year of qualifying experience -OR- successful completion of a formal apprenticeship program in construction related trades resulting in journey-level status  may substitute for 30 semester (45 quarter) units of coursework in the areas noted above. 

 

Community Development and Housing Project Manager II – Contract

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Planning, Economic Development, Project Management, or closely relevant field.
 

–AND–
 

Experience: Two (2) years of professional level experience working for a public or private agency with a primary focus on affordable housing.  Experience must include all stages of affordable housing development including site research and acquisition, feasibility analysis, pre-development, design, construction, and transition to housing monitoring and federal compliance team.

SUBSTITUTION: Two (2) additional years of experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree requirement, with possession of an Associate’s Degree as noted above.
