The Seattle Housing Authority, a nationally recognized leader in developing and maintaining affordable, innovative housing communities and programs, is accepting applications for the Compliance Auditor, Senior in the Housing Operations Department.
 

BASIC FUNCTION:

Under general direction, serve as senior level lead for the Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) in the Compliance Program to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and agency regulations as they relate to SHA’s Low Income Public Housing (LIPH), excluding Yesler Terrace.  Responsible for developing and updating policies, procedures, processes and forms relating to the implementation of HUD and tax-credit regulations.  Serve as senior level lead for the audit process in areas such as initial certifications, re-certifications, interim reviews, new move-ins/move-outs, and rent processing.  Develop and/or conduct training for employees. Serve as senior level lead among assigned staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Services, Human Services, Public Administration, or related field; OR may substitute additional four years of relevant work experience for the required degree. Tax Credit certification and Certification of Occupancy Specialist required.

EXPERIENCE:

Five year’s experience in public housing, auditing or other related area, which must include a working knowledge/experience with HUD 4350.3 handbook and IRS Section 42 compliance.  Two year’s experience in multi-family housing programs compliance and/or program monitoring is preferred, but not required.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Washington driver’s license with fully insurable driving record.
