Regional Project Manager

Affirmed Housing Group (www.AffirmedHousing.com) needs to fill a key Project Management position on its development team to manage all phases of the development of affordable apartment homes in the Bay Area of Northern California.

Responsibilities:

  • Open and maintain a Bay Area office for Affirmed
  • Manage multiple projects from acquisition through final developer fee payment
  • Assist Acquisitions Directors in the identification, research, concept design, underwriting and acquisition of properties suitable for development
  • Create funding/financing structures, and maintain project proformas, schedules and task lists
  • Select and manage development consultants
  • Direct project design from concept through construction permitting
  • Manage public outreach and obtain project entitlements
  • Prepare and submit public funding applications to public agencies including but not limited to TCAC, CDLAC, HCD, and local city and county agencies
  • Under the direction of the CFO, is responsible for construction and permanent loan closings
  • Support VP of Construction as needed during project construction
  • Coordinate with Asset Manager and property management firm during lease-up and stabilization
  • Responsible for project budgeting, budget reconciliations, and cash management
  • Perform other duties as needed to contribute to the ongoing achievement of Affirmed’s Bay Area development goals
  • Report to VP of Development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and advanced degrees preferred, but may be substituted with applicable experience
  • Prior experience in affordable housing development and financing is required
  • Specific experience in permanent supportive housing is desirable
  • Needs to enjoy and be proficient at writing and financial analysis
  • Expertise required in MS Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be an organized self-starter with strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Prior experience and working knowledge of Bay Area affordable development is desirable
